Application to Increase the Pupil Admission Number

We wish to advise that the Governing Board of Thomas Telford School are launching a four week consultation regarding its intention to increase the admissions intake (PAN) to the School from 182 to 286, and increase the Sixth Form from 500 to 600. The consultation will commence with immediate effect and will end 12 noon 29 June 2018.

The reasons for the proposal are:

  • The need for additional Secondary School places in Telford
  • To offer more applicants the opportunity of gaining admission to the School
  • To fully utilise the additional building, which is in the process of being acquired

Consultation about the proposal to increase the intake to the School will be communicated by letter to the following:

  • Local Primary Schools
  • Local Secondary Schools
  • Telford and Wrekin Admissions Team
  • Shropshire and Staffordshire Local Authorities
  • Local and Regional Libraries
  • Employees at Thomas Telford School
  • Existing parents and carers of students at Thomas Telford School
  • Head of Telford and Wrekin’s Childrens’ Services
  • Telford and Wrekin’s Admissions Forum
  • Advert in Shropshire Star and Telford Journal
